We have an older receiver (not sure of exact model...there's no number on the front, I think it's about 2 years old, not an HD receiver, can save about 40 hours of shows, maybe 60?). Next week we're getting a new HD receiver and we currently have about 20-40 hours saved on the receiver we will no longer have. Some are DS's shows. Some are shows we haven't yet watched and need to get to it (some Lost, some American Idol), but I don't think we have the time to watch that much TV in the next week.
I've searched online and it looks like I could download these if I had a newer receiver with a USB port. But can I do it with this one? I would need step-by-step for dummy instructions (:)) or a link to such directions if possible.
