I am curious what is the biggest family you know of that had children all of the same sex?

I am sure mine will easily be topped, but I know of one family of 4 boys and one of 4 girls. A woman who posts on another website I read is having her 5th boy, no girls (let's call that 5B, 0G). Also, it's not strictly in keeping with my question, but I know someone whose family was 5 girls, 1 boy (so 5G, 1B.)

A friend's husband has 4 daughters, no sons from a previous marriage. Their first together was a girl. Their second was a boy.

I know a family with 5 boys and 1 girl. Two singletons, and quads. The girl is one of the quads.

A neighbor's good friend had three boys. As the boys got older, they decided to try for "one more" and had twin boys. ;)

I know lots of threes of the same sex. Three doesn't seem unusual to me, four sticks out.

i don't see many large families but i know a family of 4 boys (no girls). my mom is the only girl, with 4 brothers.

the biggest, i do not know them personally:

a guy i went to college told me that his aunt wanted a boy so bad that she kept trying until she finally had one, after having 14 girls. yes, 14 girls and then a boy. i'm not sure that i believe him because it sounds insane.

I grew up with one family of 7 kids. The first was a girl, and the 6 that followed were boys.

We have good friends who have 11 girls, 0 Boys

They did lose one a couple days before her due date, so would have had 12 girls.

I know a 7 brothers family! My friend and his twin brother were the youngest two. Brave woman, that Irish mom of theirs.

I know a few other 7-kid families (the kids are all "our" generation, in their 30s-40s). All of them were from religiously observant families - 1 Mormon, 1 Orthodox Jewish, 2 Catholic.

My grandmom was one of 11 kids, but that was another era - 10 girls and 1 (beloved) boy!

In terms of families with young kids, I don't know anyone with more than 3 kids, but several friends have 3 now - I am noticing it is fast becoming as much of a norm as 2 used to be!

My dad was the youngest of 13. Only the oldest was a girl. I don't think all 13 survived out of infancy though. My dad is almost 60, and was born when my grandma was in her 50's - 54, maybe? His sister was over 30 years older than him.

I grew up with a family who had 10. The two bookends (oldest and youngest) were boys and the 8 in the middle were girls.

We currently have 5 - our oldest is a boy, and the 4 others are girls.

A good friend of mine from high school is from a family of all girls.

She has 4 sisters.

I always thought it was funny since her dad is big tall man
and he is a pig farmer.
And then he has 5 daughters.

All the girls raised pigs in 4-H.

Such an awesome family!!

My mom was the 4th girl of 5 children, my uncle is the lone boy and the youngest.

I have two friends who are both pregnant with #3, one friend has two girls, and the other has two boys. I can't wait to see what they are having (I think they are peeking).

My dh's aunt and uncle have 7 boys.

I have three boys and my SIL has three boys. We keep waiting for the other to try "one more time" and break the pattern but it's beginning to look like neither of us is willing. :)

A friend is one of 6 girls, 0 boys. But her Mom did have 3 miscarriages - I always wondered if those were boys and for some reason were incompatible with her!

I know one family with 5 boys, all singletons and all accidentally spaced so that mom and dad had/will have 1 boy at a time in college for 20 straight years if they all graduate high school at the expected age and complete undergrad degrees in 4 years (2 down, one in progress, 2 to go). I know another family with 4 boys.

My dad is the oldest of 9 and there are just 2 girls.
