We are trying to decide between Hoppy Days (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3160407)and a Pink Boppy (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3247596)one.
We love the softness of the boppy, but the unisex-ness (is that a word?) of the hoppy days. I know FP is a great quality bouncer, but that pink one is too cute!
I am thinking too emotionally here (focusnig on how cute it is). Can you guys weigh in with opinions? Which would you choose?
Thanks!
Beth

I'm practical. Gender neutrality rules my shopping habits. Poor DD only gets used clothes or bargain-basement things from here on out. I loved being able to reuse things!

depending on how big your house is -
I'd suggest both! =)

do check out a local consignment shop -
you might be able to find one there for way less than you'd pay at the store for a new one.

I would pick the FP Hoppy Days for the neutrality, cost benefit, and it looks like it may fold down for storage?

I agree! If you have a two story house, it's nice having one on each level. I had a plain one (I think a nuetral colored Boppy one) and bought one for my mom's house (FP safari one--it's actually kind of obnoxious looking and does NOT match any decor in the house). The FP one had a toy attached that could light up and it moved. My DD LOVED it!! She would be mesmerized by its movements and when we came back to one at our house, she hated it.. would whine and try to wiggle out of it. I just thought some babies didn't like bouncers until I saw how still she sat in my mom's.

Needless to say, I brought the one from my mom's back to our house. I kept the boring one upstairs that we didn't use much and the FP downstairs because I used it more.

Just to add, I've found that the baby items/toys that appeal to my eye with color and design often do not do the same for my DD. In the beginning especially, uglier the better. :)

I think we had a FP aquarium and our baby was obsessed with the kick feature -- he would kick and if he hit the foot pad right music would start to play and I think lights flashed. Personally, I would look for a bouncy seat with this feature . . . Maybe craigslist or borrowed?

Yep ;)
The "busier" ones seem to be the favorite of babies, even if it doesn't match our own idea of nice decor :)
DD and DS loved our fisher price bouncer that vibrated and had things that happened when they moved

Thanks everyone! I love the pink one but see your points! I ended up skipping the whole BRU registry and buying this one (http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2002&e=product&pid=47261)and I really do love it, so all is good :)
Plus, it was $10 cheaper at Amazon :)
Thanks!!
