I just got my baby jogger 2009 classic and am loving it (thanks for all the advice). I just want to be sure of one thing: when the gray snaps are snaped into place the stroller will not fold-right?

Hmm...elite double here. never snapped them. sorry... check the product manual online maybe???

apparently theystroller will not fold with the gray tabs snapped- I read that in the instruction book too. You can snap them into place while in use- but like PP I never snapped them either. I think it's extra support or something. But I have a 50 lb DS and I've never snapped them and it's fine. HTH.

I have the BJCSD (older model that has now become the classic) and even through the manual says to keep them snapped while in use, I always keep them unsnapped. We haven't used it in a while, but DS was over 40lbs and DD was at least 25lbs when we were using it and I never had any problems with support or stability.
