Every year the local Lions Club has a BBQ. I bought tickets in advance. It rained all last night, the worst rain I have ever heard here in AZ. The cook pits went out, the meat was raw, the health department shut it down. It was a total disaster as a fund raiser, plus I am out 20 bucks and more importantly had no backup lunch plans. We scrounged up some lunch, but they had over $10,000 in meat they had to throw out. Not a pretty day at the Lion's Club BBQ. I am not sure how they are going to cover their costs.

That sucks. Those poor people who organized the event, they must feel awful.

Yikes that sucks for everyone. Hopefully they sell a majority of their tickets ahead of time; that's their gravy for the event. I help out w/ a large event in the Spring where if it were to rain (and it has been a washout a few times) the "pre admission" that is sold is KEY to being able to weather a storm or two.

Sorry you're out $20 though!
