Walgreens Jumbo sized diapers are buy 2 for $16.98 - $3 ea package with coupon in this week's circular. (TOTAL $10.98 for 2 packs)

I use the premiums and think they are similar to Pampers cruisers (much better than CVS or Rite AID brand IMO).

Do you know if they have pull ups as part of this deal too?

Thanks for the heads up...I am just about to run out from the last AMAZING deal that was posted here several months ago.

At this price, I'll buy a few. I really like their diapers.

FYI, the diapers will be 2/$9 the week of 3/1, so wait to stock up if you can. But wipes are a good deal: 2 packs of 240ct wipes are coming to 5.98 after the coupon. Perfect because DS1's teacher just requested that we send more wipes into school!!

I'm not positive on this particular coupon, but typically even though Walgreens coupons state a limit, you can but as many as you want & the coupon still applies.

There is an ad in the Feb. easy saver booklet that says save $2 when you buy 2 jumbo packs of any brand diapers. It's on page 23. It says that it excludes promotional pricing and that it rings up automatically that way at the register. I am headed over soon to check this out for myself, and see if the coupon will provide an add'l discount. Anyone know?

Thanks for the head up. We're running low here and DH was just asking yesterday when the next Walgreens diaper sale was going to be.

Thanks, I'm going to stock up when they are 2/$9. I noticed that their new training pants have a wetness indicator now. I think that's new, or at least I never noticed it until I opened up the pk I got on Friday.

2/$9 is an awesome deal. To get that price will I need to use a coupon or is that going to be the sale price. Can you tell I'm new to Walgreen's deals? But, I do remember you ladies loving the last deal. I'm going to stock up this time.

ETA: Are you guys buying premium or regular?

The diapers ring up as $9.98 for the first pack then $7.98 for the second (may be off by a few cents) - so the $2 comes off as it states in the Easy Saver book.

The coupon then further reduces the packs by $3 ea. I bought 4 packs and got $3 off each one (despite the coupon saying limit of 3).

WHERE DO YOU FIND OUT WHEN THE UPCOMING SALES ARE? (as Lori posted about the price on 3/1).

There are a lot of different websites out there to find out about upcoming sales, but I like to browse www.hotcouponworld.com. Within the site, you go into the forums section, and then into the category you are looking for (in this case "drugstores"). You can see several weeks of upcoming ads, and people also post about how to use coupons to maximize your savings. The website also has a coupon database which I've found useful many times.

How are the wipes though - are similar to huggies or pampers?

How do these compare to other diapers for softness? We use White Cloud and like them since they feel less plasticy than say Luvs. We also like the Huggies Gentle Care. Are the Walgreens brand comparable? What brand do they resemble the most (in terms of fit and softness)?

4 packs of diapers and 2 packs of wipes $27! (I would have gotten more but that is all that my store had in sz 5 and unscented wipes.)

I used to use Huggies baby dry (?) (not supreme) and think that the WG dipes are just as soft/nice as those. I esp like that the WG dipes are not scented like Pampers and Luvs.

We use Walgreens dipes 85% of the time so I can't compare to a lot. The Regular are stiffer than the Premium, but we haven't had leak problems in either (and you get more in the Regular packs.) They are much softer than Parents Choice brand and a bit softer than BRU's brand.

THANKS to everyone on the sale tips! My stores must've been low on 4s in July because we didn't have nearly enough of those in the giant stash!

Can someone tell me how many diapers come in the size 4 & size 5 bags? Also, are you sizing up?
Thx

The size 5 premium(or supreme, can't remember the exact name) diapers are 26 count. I do need to size up as the size 5 is about the same size as the size 4 pampers cruisers.

Not sure how many per pack, but I want to say the price per diaper was something like 1/3 of what I typically pay for Pampers Cruisers. And you definitely need to size up - they don't have the stretch that the Cruisers do, so you need the bigger size. Overall they are a great value!

Pretty sure there are 30 in a size 4. Definitely size up. DS2 has been in 4s since about 17lbs. Three wasn't long enough.

If you guess wrong, it's easy enough to exchange, since it's store brand. I had a bunch of size 3 from last year and traded 12 packs for size 4 without an issue.

So about .17 per size 5 diaper?

So about .17 per size 5 diaper?

Each pack of diapers was $5.50 during the sale last week, so that turns out to be $.21/diaper. The regular price of them at my Walgreens is $9.50 or 2 for $17. I definitely would not buy them at regular price as I can get pampers diapers on sale for $8 after coupons.

I got my packs at 15.98 for 2 ( 8.99 and 6.99 or 7.99 and 7.99 seen on each of my receipts) and then $3 off each pack. So average 4.99 a pack and get .19 a diaper.

Ask at the Pharmacy about their prescription drug program and ask for the coupon book that you can get just for asking about the program. In it is $2 off a pack of diapers.

Have you done this recently? I got a new one in January and there was not a diaper coupon in it. I *think* it expires sometime in March. The one that I had that had the diaper coupon expired last December.

Does anyone know if they have a training pants size for 40lbs for nightime that holds a lot?

Thanks!

There are 2 - one is for Medicare part B with elderly people on it and one has the Walgreen's door on it. The Walgreen's door has a coupon expiring 6/30/09 in it.

If you are on the fence about Walgreens diapers (or don't get as many packs as you need), there is a deal next week for Huggies diaper just about as cheap. To get ready for that one, go to www.coupons.com and print the $5 and $3 Huggies coupons on there (you can print each twice per computer). Here's a thread about it (the same forum has next week's ad posted already - spend $25, get a $10 coupon back):

Bummer! I just got back from 3 different stores and none of the had the other pharmacy book. 2 of the 3 stores tried to give me the one I have already seen (medicare D one) without the diaper coupon and one guy tried to make me listen to his speech. Oh well!

My dd is 43 pounds and the Walgreens pullups leaked for her at night. I returned the unopened packages.

I got 15 packs...we cloth diaper a little more than half of the time, so each pack should last 2-3 weeks.

I'm set for about 9 months or so for less than $75 with tax.

We use Luvs a lot, and I honestly can't tell the difference between them and Walgreens brand. So we've had good luck with the Walgreens dipes. I asked at the pharmacy today and got a coupon book with no problems, and there was a diaper coupon in it. I am planning to go next week and do the Huggies deal with register rewards and coupons, then use the rewards to get Walgreens brand. Thank you for the link to the forum explaining all of that! I am psyched!
