Ebates update if you DIDN"T get your 2/15 payment!

Ugh - - just saw this on their website.... they are apparently out of money for now? I guess that sums it up.... so when the stores pay them, they will pay us. I guess i wasn't one of the lucky ones who got their payment on time. Apparently this letter will go out by email today....

Dear Ebates Member,

You may have noticed that your cash back payment from Ebates has not yet arrived - but please rest assured that your payment is in process.

Given the challenging retail climate, a large number of our retail partners have been slow to pay our commissions for purchases you made in November and December, and these commissions are what allow us to pay your cash back rebates. To ensure the largest possible payout, we have delayed processing your payment until the last possible moment. We will complete processing and send a payment this week that reflects all purchases for which we have received payment from the retailer.

Any payments not received by Ebates as of today and paid this week will be sent to you in a special payment as soon as we receive them. You will still see these orders as cash pending in your Ebates' account.

Our goal remains to pay members cash back as quickly as possible and we apologize for this inconvenience.

Yesterday all of mine was showing pending with an expected check of 2/15. Today it shows they sent part of it in a check 2/18, with the rest still in pending (Sears seems to be the holdout on mine for November). Hopefully this means I will get my check?

Hmmm, mine now says they sent about 55% of what is owed but they did not send me my $10 referral bonus. That should not have anything to do with how fast they are being paid.

My husband got his, I did not get mine, his was a lot more than I am waiting for, just as an aside, we had no trouble getting fatwallet money or cashbaq money in the past mth.

Today I just checked my acct again. It says mine was mailed on the 18th. Hubby's arrived via USPS on Sat. Mine was 26$

Thanks for this post--very interesting. I did get my check a few days ago. My check was for $ from six different retailers (all that I was owed). I've been getting ebates checks for six years, though, so I wonder if they cut the checks for long-term members first or if it was just random. Anyhow, I'm going to be sure to go deposit that ebates check today, though!

Look under the blog tab and scroll down.... it also states the letter should have gone out by email yesterday, but i didn't get the email either. Crossing my fingers - - because I always look forward to this cash! I've been on ebates for quite a few years and my payment was expecting to be in the $30-40 range!

I'm so incredibly bummed, I've been an Ebates member for years & this would have been my biggest 1-quarter payout ever (over $130) and none of mine has been sent :(

I was following the posts on this board & others where people were posting delays, but I really wished it wasn't going to be something like this.

Interesting-- thanks for posting! My payment was delayed, but I hadn't noticed the message on their website. I just got the vast bulk of my payment a couple of hours ago. Shoebuy is the lone holdout in my case.

None of mine has paid yet. The bulk of it is referral bonuses. You'd think they'd at least send those.

I think ebates has always paid quarterly, with each payment coming six weeks after the end of the quarter. In other words, the February 15 payment covers purchase from October, November, December. The May 15 payment covers purchases from January, February, March. And so on. That's always been the way it's worked for me in the past, anyway.

Just thought I'd post so no one thinks their 2009 purchases are being "held back." They should come as part of your May 15 payment, assuming all goes smoothly.

I'm really annoyed by this. They don't even have the curtesy to email and let us know what's happening. I have $ due back from babycenter. I bet I won't be seeing that money :(

Mine claims they mailed a check for 1/2 a few days ago but the bigger portion (from buying a Frontier from Baby Universe and some other things) is still pending. Grr.

Hmm, I didn't even know this was going on. FWIW, I got my check for $20 right on time a week or so ago.
