I just have to tell somebody! My 8-year-old son, who's in the 2nd grade, just came home and told me he was nominated by his teacher to be featured on tomorrow's school-wide morning news for being such a terrific student!

The 6th graders put on a morning news show every day that broadcasts in all the classrooms. Every Tuesday, one student in the school (of 900 students) is featured and interviewed by the news team for being a super student - not just academically, but all around: polite, helpful, courteous, friendly, studious, a good role model for the other students.

He's excited but also nervous. I am just beaming with pride and had to share this!!

That's so sweet, it makes me want to cry. (maybe in relation to my 2 yo's naptime refusal, screaming,etc.) You must be so proud!

well, GO ON, mama!!! whoo hoo!!! DS1 has this at school and i know it is a great sense of pride for students to be on the news. hooray for you and DS!!

ETA: and don't forget to do some bragging while he is within earshot!! ;)
