So DC is five and has had a play kitchen since age 2. The kitchen has gotten very little use except for storage of the play food, bowls and utensils. I keep looking at it wondering when I can think about asking if DC is ready to let it go. At the moment the food, bowls and utensils are used to feed the stuffed animals in the house and that's it. DC has never used it to pretend cooking, washing, fridging, ect.
Am I jumping to far ahead to expect to get it out of the house at age 5 or is it time to broach the subject? At what age has the play kitchen left others homes?
If it's time to let it go, I will definitely come up with a new location for the animals food...
