I've seen these at Target. Can you tell me what you plant in yours?

We've done salad greens before, right now we have the italian herbs in there (there is SO MUCH, we can't keep up the cooking to use it!!). We haven't used it yet, but we also have cherry tomatoes and other salad greens. It works really great!

we were looking for one for FIL..
we have herbs in ours right now. we are going to do the salsa set as soon as we get sick of this. we love ours.

It says you have to keep the lights on 16 hrs a day. Where do you keep it?
Can you leave it outside? I live in an apt--not much space.

Also, where do you buy the herbs and cherry tomatoes?
I'd like to plant basil, thyme, chives, cilantro, cherry tomatoes... it would be nice not to have to go and pay for it at the store.

I forgot to add.... in some Sam's, if you pay in cash, they will let you buy, esp. if you say you want to try them out. You might even get a one day pass.
