Geisswein is an Austrian apparel maker who is best known for its wool slippers and clothng.
I don't have this this slipper, but I find them awfully cute. Made in Croatia.

Some of the slippers are 70% and, in addition, there's a $10 off $60 for selected children's shoes on Amazon.

Eg. this slipper is $64 in GarnetHill, $19.18 on Amazon.

The appliques are sewn on, and one side is a princess, and the other, a castle.

The $10 off $60 is automatic at checkout. Check out other kid's brand for the discount to be applied.

I think Melanie finds some really good deals.

These look awesome! Does anyone know how the sizes run with this brand?

Sizes run very small - and be sure to feel inside. My exp w/ this type of slipper is that the stitching around the appliques comes through and feels scratchy.

Oh this is so tempting. I've LOVED those slippers ever since I saw them in the Garnet Hill catalog, but couldn't justify the price. Can anyone who has these comment on the comfort (scratchy?) and durability of these. I'd hate to buy them and have my DDs refuse to wear them because they're uncomfortable.

I did buy some pairs, and once they come on Monday, I'll follow up with a review.

These are my first pairs of Geisswein slippers. My only comparison is with a women's Halfinger wool slipper (which I love and are not scratchy), and they are nearly identical in terms of the feel of the wool. They're soft soles, so really for indoor use. I'll break it down:

1)My favourite was this pair (now OOS):
http://www.amazon.com/Giesswein-Infant-Toddler-Slipper-10-10-5/dp/B001CX0V1M/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&s=shoes&qid=1236035084&sr=1-17

I like the cuff feature. However, the cuff does NOT roll up.

Here is a similar slipper (price and style):

http://www.amazon.com/Giesswein-Infant-Toddler-Slipper-10-10-5/dp/B001CX0V1M/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&s=shoes&qid=1236035084&sr=1-17

2) The princess boot noted in the OP is nice, too.

3) Very cute, but where the two pieces of wool are stitched might be uncomforable. The stitches make a thick cleavage underneath. There's a Velcro strap at the back to adjust the sizing, and the wool is thinner than the other pairs. There's a rabbit on one side and a hedgehog on the other.

I bought the slippers for future use, so I can't tell you definitively whether they are scratchy for my little ones, nor about the accuracy of sizing, but I am happy with the quality.
