I'm kind of at a loss on ordering dresses for the girls. Naturally, I need to place an order today and they're not with me so I can't measure them. Becca is a size 3 and is average for height. Gwen wears a 5-6 and is tall. I was thinking a M for Becca and a L for Gwen, but now I wonder if that's too big because I seem to remember folks saying LA runs large.
The dresses are for costumes, not just for playing around the house in. I can hem the bottoms if needed but I don't want them to be huge overall if I order too large, KWIM?

ETA: In case someone finds this later on a search, I ordered a M for Becca and a L for Gwen. The sizing is perfect on both of them. I actually think the L may be a bit short on Gwen once we add a pettiskirt, but the XL would have been too big.
