I am 5'1 and DH is 5'8. Which of these 2 carriers would be more appropriate for us? Any other different options out there? We are first time parents and would like something that is not complicated to use, and if possible, easily transferred from one parent to the other. Thanks! :)

I would recommend the Beco because of the infant pouch part. It helped me a bunch to be able to put baby in the carrier then put the carrier on. You can transfer the baby that way too but the carrier needs to be adjusted some for each use so it isn't a seamless transition.

DH and I both use the Beco, w/very little adjustment between us. I'm 5'2" and he's 5'9". The built in infant insert was great when DD was brand new.

I think the Beco works better for shorter people. I had both a Beco and an Ergo and sold my Beco to a woman who was about 5' wearing heels. I kept my Ergo (I'm 5'9")

I think that's a good decision. I have both, and bought the Beco b/c the Ergo didn't have quite as much neck support for my infant as I wanted.
