What are you guys going to do w/all those lollipops?

Jo..
03-03-2009, 03:11 PM
I bought 2 of the smaller sizes...while the 5# bags were a better deal, 10# of lollipops in my house is a BAD IDEA.

I am going to use them for potty training bribes! they are low in calories, organic, contain vegetable ingredients, and (according to reviews) are very yummy!

I bought these the Halloween before last and we still have some left. My kids love them and I always keep two in my diaper bag just in case. The last "just in case" was while I was at the OB for my 6 wk. follow up with my 6 wk. old and 2 yr. old in tow. Worked like a charm!

Thanks, Jo! Love these lollys. We gave them out at Halloween, too and we are down to only a few. I think I will give DH one of these to put on his desk at work. Great deal!

These are *insanely* good. Like over-the-top good. They're in a class of their own.

Do these taste like the Trader Joe's organic lollipops? I was wondering if the TJ's ones are actually made by them, but under TJ's brand name. Are these ones better tasting than the TJ's ones?

I can't get through the grocery store without popping at least a couple of these in DD's mouth. They are delicious and thanks to the OP for the deal - I was running low on my last 5-lb bag!

I just have to chime in about how great these are! We have FAs and these are one of the few candies that is safe for DS1 to eat! I love to give them out at parties, halloween, etc. just for that reason!

My mom says LuckyVitamin.com is cheaper, but she hasn't factored in shipping yet. Has anyone ordered from them?

Jo..

If anyone has prime, you can split an order and have them shipped to two addresses for free. Start buddying up people!

I have ordered vitamins from Lucky Vitamin.

The 5#bag from Lucky is $23 plus shipping. From Amazon, you get TWO 5# bags for $29.xx. 7 cents per pop (PLUS shipping) vs 4 cents per pop through Amazon.
The bin from lucky is $14.73. From Amazon, you get TWO bins for $17.xx. 10 cents per pop (PLUS shipping) vs 6 cents per pop through Amazon.
So Amazon is MUCH cheaper after code.

LOL....exactly. Unfortunately she got me all excited about LuckyVitamin.com and I found like 15 other things I wanted there....this is why slickdeals is a curse! I end up going on a wild shopping-goose chase and realize I *need* all these items!

Alright, I'm a sucker (cheesy pun intended!). I ordered two 5-lb bags. I figured this way I'll always have a small treat to give out to my DD's little friends now that she's starting preschool. I just hope that, if they're as good as everyone says, I don't end up eating them all! :) Thx, Jo!!

Thank you, Jo!! A big hug to you! [And to everyone who posted]

I was Finally able to order 2 big bags for my FA kids. I just kept trying since everyone seems to be able to order. The weird thing was Amazon kept bringing up the link from my old order which was 25 bucks for the 5 lb bag and showed up as unavailable [and I didn't notice at first]. Prob. bc they upped the price and and their sys. didn't allow me to order until I deleted the item from my past order stuck in my acct. Weird. So much for technology.

I don't know if my kids will appreciate this order more or me. I just like having the peace of mind and less stress knowing I don't have to read the labels to every candy or deny my kids a treat bc I ran out. I just substitute these for treat bags they get but can't touch [boo hoo]. It's hard to find candy without wheat and dairy, or possible peanut/tree nut contamination believe it or not.

Once again, I really appreciate all your posts!

I try to be good and not ordering these.....let's see how long that will last...I just can't seem to justify the 5 lb bag.....yikes....besides, DD already had 4 fillings/sealant done last December......but, they do love these....ah...

It's almost $27 per bag before coupon, but after coupon your total should be $29 and change for TWO bags

According to this article, the TJ's organic lollipops are made by Yummy Earth. The flavors are the same, and the actual lollipops looked so similar that it made me wonder if the TJ's ones were made by Yummy Earth.

"Both the Yummy Earth and Trader Joe's brands are made in Mexico by Yummy Earth in a facility that provides 65 fair paying jobs, according to Rob Wunder, Co-Founder of Yummy Earth."

We got our lollis last Friday, so much quicker than I'd thought (I ordered after the 5# bags had gone on backorder). They're VERY good, and I'm glad I got so many! Mine also expire some time in 2011, so plenty of time to eat and share! Thx again, Jo! :)

If you buy 2 of them, you get 45% off. I bought 2 of the 5 pound bags and got them for less than $30 with free shipping! Great deal considering what I was paying for a tiny carton of Trader Joe's lollipops for DD.

ETA: Sorry I missed the original post! I just got the email from Amazon this morning.

Yes! One of my pet peeves is when DH brings home a sucker from some place (the doctor or barber) and DS is all excited to eat it and he didn't check the ingreds on the bag!! DH thinks it should be fine. Um, no, even jelly beans have peanut/nut contamination and you wouldn't think they would.

Thanks Jo! Never heard of these, but love lollipops. DS is only 18 months but I ordered two of the tubs for myself. By the way, the total on Amazon after the discount is $17.76 and free super saver shipping worked on this! I guess the free shipping looks at the amount before discounting and as long as that amount is over $25 you get free shipping.
