I've started doing weight training and it's becoming important to track the weights / no. of reps / etc for each workout. I'm just wondering what is the best way to track it? Do you keep a running log or just write down what you did last time? Do you have a formal published book with tables, or did you make your own? Do you keep an online log?

And finally do you record cardio as well as strength training?

I'm new to this & would love to hear others' experiences! Thanks!

I love this one (http://www.borders.com/online/store/TitleDetail?sku=0618466495). If you check the google preview, you can click through to the actual log pages. It is great for cardio and weights.

I do. I just write it down in a little notebook I got at CVS. I do record both cardio and weights. It's small and I just throw it in my gym bag. It works for me. :)

I have my own little shorthand. ;) e.g.,

OHP, 15#, 12x3 = overhead press, 10 pounds in each hand, 3 sets of 12 reps

I follow the basic plan in the Body Sculpting Bible for Women (my body....not so sculpted....) which alternates cardio and weight training 6 days a week.

I used a log I made in Excel. Sadly, I haven't exercised since DS arrived 13 months ago. I'll look for it tomorrow and PM you if I find it.
