When is Spring Break in your area and how long is it?

Spring Break in the Lower Mainland is either one or two weeks, depending on the school district. Spring Break is March 16 -20 this year.

For a lot of western NY they have a winter break of one week in February (the week of president's day) and then a week of spring break. Some schools have spring break the week following Easter so it changes each year as Easter changes. Others set it as the 3 week in April regardless of when Easter falls.

I thought my aunt's Ohio spring break was early. They are off from March 30th through April 3rd. And then here in California (or at least the schools near me) are April 6-10.
I thought it was weird that my aunt's break was not right before or right after Easter weekend.

Spring break in Canada is different than in the US (hence the post in this forum). In BC, its always in mid-March. Some districts here are off the week of March 9 and the week of March 16. There is also a 4-day weekend over Easter, but that's separate.

I had to get used to calling it spring break- growing up in Ottawa we called it March Break, cause it's always in March!

Here in IL it's the week of March 23nd.

When I was in college it was always the middle of March. But here, it's the week after Easter, which means it changes every year. This year it's the week of April 13.

I just read March's preschool newsletter (yeah, I'm a little behind! ;)) and it says that this year's spring break is March 23-27. A whole week of no preschool. So much for my free time! LOL
