Thank you so much., OP. DD has 2 pairs of SKR that she loves and wears them every single day. She would cry if I tried to put her on something else. She has almost outgrown them and the sale just shows up at the right time. Thanks again.:bighand:

I LOVE these shoes for my toddler and grabbed up some new Smaller for my infant DD as well for when she starts walking. Thanks OP!

If you haven't tried these, this is a good reason to try...these shoes rock.

I just got some too, including my first purchase for DS-to-be (well not counting my BOB Duallie ;) ).
The shipping was $6.50 if you didn't go over the $60.

Hi!
I'm a newbie to baby shoes, as my 9 1/2 month old is just starting to take his first steps. I figure he'll want to start walking outside in the next 1 -2 months, so I'd better buy some shoes for him. I was going to get Robeez sandals, as they seem soft and flexible as recommended for a child his age. Are See Kai Run shoes also flexible enough for a child his age? And what makes them better than other infant shoes?
Thanks!

can someone tell me how sizes compare to SR? tia

IME, they run big and regardless of size, they're cut wide. I don't have experience with the larger sizes, though. Once DC were wearing larger sizes and spending more time outside I started buying more substantial shoes (tougher materials) because I loved the flexibility of the SKR soles and they're great for new walkers but the leather gets destroyed when toddlers drag them around, especially the toe part.

So, they run a little big? My oldest dd wears size 9 and I was looking at the size chart, it said size 9 was 6.4" which is a bit smaller than some of her other 9's I measured. I don't know if I should try them or not. I guess if they are too small, I can sell em on ebay.

I don't really remember how the length was but I know that the styles were always wide even on my DC's chunky feet.

We've had SKR for a couple years and I've always equated their sizes to be .5 bigger than SR. So, when DD would be wearing an 7.5W in SR, she'd be a 7 in SKR.

Since they are only in whole sizes, they have to work up until the next size, if that makes sense...

Thanks! I think. I spent $90 but got four pairs for my son and daughter. Plus, I *had* to order the Sylvia shoes - how often is there a shoe with my kid's name?

The folks at SKR knows that parents will fall hard for this. And I did.
The "Eleanor" matched my Eleanor's early fall wardrobe, I figured it was a sign from the retail gods . . .

i looked hard for "lucy" shoes, but alas, no. so we got hanna, emilie & steph based on style, not name :)

i'll admit, i would have fallen for lucy shoes! :)

Please help with some size questions:

1. Should I size down for sandals? (DD has been wearing size 5 SKR's and still fit comfortably. Do I buy a 5 for summer, since she won't be wearing socks with them, or a 6 so she won't outgrow them?

2. How fast did your DC grow through shoe sizes in a year? If DD wears a 5 now, should I get a 6 or 7 for fall? (I'm guessing this might be different for each dc, though).

On second thought, it's probably better if I don't figure this out and order DD 3 pairs of shoes that she probably doesn't need...

Don't mean to hijack this thread but Amazon also has a sale with SKR some starting at around $13.40, but VERY VERY limited in terms of selection and sizing. The first four pairs when you click this link:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url?%5Fencoding=UTF8&store-name=shoes&search-type=ss&index=shoes&field-brandtextbin=See%20Kai%20Run

have sizes 8 or 9. Otherwise, the remaining 10 or so discounted pairs only have sizes 3 or 4.

If you can somehow manage to spend $60, you'll get $10 off at checkout.

The first four pairs when you click this...have sizes 8 or 9.

Size 8 and 9 (at least today) are at regular price. Smaller sizes are discounted. So they are still available if you are looking for smaller sizes.

Thanks to posters.

See Kai Run also seems to work for the $10 off $60 at Amazon.com, (so is Umi) so if you do enough shopping you could get a real bargain.

Thank you for posting this!! I've been hoping to pick some up for DS and was able to grab four pairs (would have been 3 pairs, but I was at $59 so *had* to get one more ;) ).

I waited too long and now can't find anything I like in DS's size. Oh well!
