bread machine recipe help

so I decided to get a cuisentart bread machine. it seems really good so far (I really wasn't going to spend more than $200 on that fancy brand) anyways a lot of the recipes it comes with calls for butter-can i replace that with oil if i want to make it non-dairy?

you definitely can. Dairy, oil and eggs are all dough conditioners which make the dough more tender/enriched.
