adhesive magnetic cabinet locks-do you think adhesive will be easily REMOVED later?

WEIRD question - we are renting a house and therefore looking to buy the kidco adhesive cabinet locks. But i just realized we are probably going to have to remove them when we move. Since they stick so well, do you think they will do any damage to the cabinets when we un-stick them?

I don't think they will damage the cabinets, but the adhesive will be difficult to remove. I have two cabinets where they didn't work and there is still some of the sticky pad on them (not the sticky part, just the pad). I'm sure I could have used a razor blade and some elbow grease to remove, but I haven't bothered.
