View Full Version : What are YOU wearing for Easter?

Since I have the girls all squared away for Easter, I need to start thinking about what I will wear. I have a lot of black and gray (business wear) in my closet, but somehow, that never seems quite right for Easter. On the other hand, whenever I venture from that script, I end up feeling like an Easter egg....So, what's a happy medium? What are you wearing?

Sigh. No idea.

I like this: http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC%7C1%7C4%7C32%7C53%7C8%7C%7C

Not sure I'd get enough wear out of it to justify the price.

My first thought was, "Wow! That's really retro!" Reminds me of dresses from the 70s. It would be a dress that I would wear to church (I go to a more casual service) or just running around town. The HA dress would be for church only or any other dressy occasions. One thing I like about the LE dress is that it stretches. It would be much easier to crouch down and deal with kids while wearing that dress.

So, has anyone seen any cute maternity dresses? I'll need it not only for Easter, but for two weddings.

The HA dress is lovely but I really like the LE one and I would prob wear it more than the HA dress since it's a bit more casual.

That was my thoughts exactly. THe HA dress is a bit too girly girl for me, but I really do like it.

I like the HA dress, too, but I think the LE one is more "practical"....at least for my lifestyle (obviously that may or may not apply to you). I have to say, the LE pricetag is much easier to swallow! And I'm sure with the weight you've lost recently, either one would look great!

I still haven't come across much for myself. I'm just not feeling very inspired by anything I've seen.

I would get one of these liz lange dresses and dress it up with accessories.

I forgot about Target! I'll have to see if my local store carries any of those dresses so I can at least figure out my size. Thanks!

I splurged and bought this one at Pea in the Pod

Holy cats, it is SOOOO comfortable. Covers just the right amount, makes me feel good about myself, is springy but still has enough black to not feel like an Easter egg....I get tons of compliments on it. It's much cuter in person. If they were $40 cheaper, I would buy 5 of them.

That's really pretty! I tried on a dress from Target. It was way too low cut for me. I don't think boobs popping out are appropriate for church! I think I'm going to have to go closer in to DC to find a dress. Gap had some cute ones.

I bought one of those $88 Mimi/PITP dresses last pg, and I'm SO glad I did. Every single time I wear it, I feel great about the way I look. It worked with a shrug for a couple fancy events, without for church, dates with DH, etc. Two friends even borrowed it when I wasn't using it, and now it is back in my closet. It has definitely been worth the investment. I can't wait to wear it for Easter this year as well!

In my closet is a dress of a similar story SIL bought for our wedding events - I think for a luau engagement party. It is still beautiful and quite stunning every time I put it on - 4 years later!

Thanks. I decided to skip it. Need to find something similar, but with sleeves.
