So other than organic produce delivery services (like Ladybug), does anyone purchase produce, beef or poultry directly from a farm? Like a CSA they have in the US?

OK I have to ask - what is a CSA?

IIRC, it stands for "community supported agriculture". You buy a "share" of the farm product at the beginning of the season and they provide their product through the growing season.
Basically, its a way to buy locally and (often) organically, directly from the farmer.

Melissa - there's an interesting article about this very concept in April's issue of Reader's Digest. There are also links/phone numbers to organizations that can help you find an organic farms in your area. If you don't have the magazine, let me know and I can give you the info.
