Dear Ladies,

You are clearly old enough to know that it is NOT ok to feed Cheetos to the ducks at the zoo. It is obnoxious for you to encourage your six kids to do so. And how nice that they each had their own bag of Cheetos to share with the ducks. You did a wonderful job of showing them exactly how to do a stupid thing.

I *really* wanted to say something to you at the time, but I presumed that you were already well aware that what you were doing was not ok. Thanks for having your kids offer my DS & DD a chance to feed some Cheetos to the ducks, too. Luckily, my kids already know not to feed the animals. Thanks to Curious George. :)

I am not sure if ducks vomit, but I hope that they do, for their own sake. And I hope that they aim right at you.

Ok, I feel a bit better now.
Jill

Oh man, I totally would have said something really loudly to my kids about how it's not good to feed animals people food. Then I probably would have pointed to them and said they were going to get in trouble with the zoo keepers. Good job keeping your cool!

So feel your pain. Then it's answering my 5 year old on why so and so is doing something they shouldn't do. Because some people are ignorant and ignore posted signs and general commons sense, sorry sweetie, the world is full of morons. Argh!

I went to the zoo today with DS as well. And I couldn't believe it when people were SMOKING UNDER THE NO SMOKING SIGNS!!!! I had to go find a zoo worker who told them to stop...

Then in the splash park the same people were smoking again! I again found a zoo worker who then escorted them out.

I gotta laugh at the Curious George part....we really can learn what not to do from the cutest little monkey!
That is really annoying that they would teach their kids to do that! So many parents are teaching their children that they are above the rules, which is very sad for those children and for our children who are growing up with them. This has always been an issue but lately it seems worse.

I wouldn't be happy to see this either. We bring bread crusts to feed to the ducks in the wild pond at the zoo. I specifically had a talk with Ds about it being ok to feed the ducks at the zoo, but no other birds or animals.

We have a local playground that a small river runs through. There are lots of ducks there. There are 3 signs that say "Do Not Feed the Ducks". People stand under the signs and feed the ducks! Drives me nuts because DS really wants to feed them and doesn't understand why it is not good for people to feed wild animals of any kind!

Oh, maybe I shouldn't have been feeding the Geese bread then either. We always grew up doing that...I haven't seen the curious george episode...
