I was looking at bags similar to the PPB backpack (don't like this, hence tryong to find similar but different) for my sister and came across what appear to be new Kecci bags. Check these out...

I know the Shanghai was popular for quite awhile, however had some quality issues that were made worse by them closing. What do you think of these?

I don't know about these new bags, but I despise my Shanghai. It has almost no organization so it's like a big black hole when you're trying to find something. And it has to be the least ergonomic bag I've ever owned. Admittedly, I have shoulder issues, but it gave me an excruciating muscle spasm in my right shoulder that had me nearly incapacitated for days. I'm getting mad just thinking about it. Oh, and the fabric started fraying almost immediately and one of the straps started to tear off.
Wow, I didn't realize I had such strong feelings about a diaper bag! Maybe (hopefully) the new ones are better?

I had a Kecci Bellagio in Aqua Blue. Not impressed. I mean, it did look pretty on my computer monitor but...
The inside did not have great organization, I could barely fit the diapers into the pockets. The backpack straps were flimsy and thin and not comfortable, neither was the shoulder strap. The back pocket cannot be used when straps are in there and cannot be closed when they are out. The stiff, rough bottom sort of "grasped" on whatever shirt I was wearing and forced my shirts to ride up my back - not a good look at ALL. It wasn't big enough either. It does look great online, though. I'd save your money for a PPB Boxy Backpack on ebay instead - I have owned 2 BBs (both purchased on eBay for under $80 NEW) and loved them - much nicer, removeable straps, roomier, higher quality overall. Oh, and the Kecci changing pad is rough and tiny, the PPB changing pad is soft and long.
My 2 cents!

I had a Kecci Mommybag? (Daddybag?) and experienced the same issues - poor quality (fraying fabric, sticky zippers) and poor design. That particular bag had a zippered access to the main compartment that didn't even span the whole length of the bag, so you'd literally be digging around trying to feel for whatever it was you needed. Hope this new line is improved over those of the past - they do look cute - but I'm now happy with my PPB.
