I bought a monitor set over 3 yrs ago when my son was born – it had 2 handsets (with walkie-talkie function) and 3 recievers. Now, the handsets are going – one cuts out all the time, and the other’s so staticy and blips all the time, so I think it’s time for a new set.
My children are older (6 and 3.5 yrs), so I don’t have to have video, but their bedrooms are on the opposite side of our house - and I am a heavy sleeper. I think the audio would be enough to amplify the sound for when they call for me. I do want to monitor both of their rooms. Currently, I set our monitors to rotate (since they don’t continuously monitor both rooms at the same time, but rotate btwn the 3 receivers) btwn their two rooms, w/ two receivers in my son’s room and one in my daughter. then we have a handset to listen with upstairs and downstairs.
is this one any good?

the only thing that worries me is it says it switches between rooms at preset intervals (from 10 seconds to 2 minutes). 2 minutes can be a long time if your kid is upset!
TIA!
