My baby is 3 months and he sleeps for 7 hours the first stretch usually around 9:30pm-4:30am, wakes up for a bottle, then goes right back to sleep for another 1.5-2 hours. Just wondering if that's enough sleep for a 3 month old. He takes about 3 naps/day ranging from 30 min-2/2.5 hours.

I think according to weissbluth, a baby at 3 months needs around 15-16 total hours of sleep.

My DD is 9 months and sleeps around 14-15 hours total on average. She's going through a growth spurt now, so her schedule is all messed up, but she used to sleep from 8:30 p.m.-8:30-9:00 a.m. and take 1-2 hour naps during the day.

But babies don't really get into a groove until 3-4 months with sleep, I read. If your baby is happy and alert, you shouldn't stress out too much over sleep. If he's cranky and has bags under his eyes, then he's not getting enough sleep.

11-12 hours, iirc. That is of night time sleep. Add in the day time sleep and he would get to that recommended 14-15 hours, no problem.

At night, I would say a total of 9 hrs. We start the bedtime routine around 7'ish and it's a good hr before he falls asleep (trying to get him to sleep on his own so it's taking some time for him to fall asleep). Then he feeds at midnight and then again around 5am. After that, he may or may not go back to sleep for an hour or so. During the day, he sleeps a solid hour in the morning and catnaps during the rest of the day. So in TOTAL he probably sleeps somewhere around 11-13 hrs/day.

When DS was 3 months, he was sleeping (with wake ups) about 7-7 overnight and short naps during the day - maybe another 3 hours or so total.

Actually, he's about at that still now at 9 months. Bed is 7-7 (still waking up) and then he gets an hour morning nap and 2 hours in the afternoon. So, about 15 hours total still.
