I just talked to the nurse at Sarah's allergist and they suggested using Elestat instead of the Zaditor we have been using. The only reason she could give me was "it's prescription so it's better" and I said "Well Zaditor was prescription until about a year ago and I've gotten samples of it at your office before." SHe kind of hemmed and hawed and said...."Well, it's better."
Is it better? Is she just toeing the party line?
Sarah has an appointment in a week but I'm just wondering if I really need to spend $25 for eye drops if these are just fine. They definitely help, but I do still need sometimes to give her Benadryl because her eyes are still itchy even with the drops.
