mattress too hard

Has anyone found that their DC hates their crib mattress. We are starting to think the mattress is too hard. (It's the foam one that rec'd a good rating in the baby bargins book). He doesn't seem to sleep well on it, he is a side sleeper and he can't stay on his side.

I think we have the same problem. A friend of mine just got a foam topper for her crib mattress off ebay. I think I am going to do that.
