Hi everyone - I'm in search of an inexpensive glider/rocker option for my baby's nursery. I would really like the fabric to cover the entire bottom, something similar to this look:

I may just end up getting this one, but with shipping it totals over $500 and I'm really looking for something more economical. Any suggestions or other sites that might have options? TIA! :)

www.albeebaby.com

Albee Baby has a few. No shipping and no tax either. We just ordered one for my MIL last week.

HTH!

hey there - I likely going to get the upholstered rocker from Wal-Mart
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5854897

It's really reasonable and you don't pay shipping when they ship it to the local store! You can also get the slipcovers there too. The chair has an ottoman you can purchase too, but I will likely not spend the money for that - times are tough, you know? :-)

We actually got our rocker/glider/recliner at costco.....it's a Lane.....a beige color....not neccessarily a "nursery" rocker...but looks cute in dd's room...and once we're done having babies it will blend in nicely with the family room or rec room as a reading chair!

So maybe look in some non-traditional baby furniture stores/places

We got ours at babycatalog.com - the basic Dutaillier model, and I think they had free shipping at the time - total was under $300. Keep your eye on craigslist or local mom's list for some potential deals!

We just got this one with a pink slipcover, it's not the best rocking motion but it's comfy enough plus it's seriously as cute if not cuter than some of the ones I've seen at pottery barn. Total was like $280 (but we had it shipped to house).

I got my Storckcraft glider/ottoman from Walmart.com for around $165. I had it shipped from site to store so shipping was free. You can customize what color you want (wood frame and cushions).
