This is very timely for me, as I'm currently starting "The Laramie Project" in class with my advanced theatre arts students.
The bill is also known as the Federal Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act.
It still has to pass the Senate, and then be signed by the President, but it's a start and a wonderful day, even if it is almost 11 years after Matthew Shepard's untimely death.
