Jason and I headed over to Michael's with some 40% off coupons today to pick up 2 new trains, and they were practically wiped out at 2 different stores. 1 of the stores had black slash marks on almost every price tag, so I'm wondering if they are no longer going to carry it. Has anyone else noticed the same? Anywhere else that might have regular deals that would compare? I think DS is planning on asking for Cranky for his b-day.

It seems to vary by store or maybe part of the country. The Michael's around me have never carried Thomas stuff. Luckily, the AC Moore's do carry Thomas.

I stocked up at a sale a few months ago. Today, I saw the healthytoys.org's (http://www.healthytoys.org/product.details.php?getrecno=9186) new ratings. I have an unopened Gordon. I don't think I'm going to give it to DS.

There was Thomas stuff at my Michaels this week. They did have Cranky. I forgot my coupon. Maybe it does vary by store.

Oh, the Thomas trains aren't rated well?

Gordan and James were tested. Gordan tested high. James tested low(good).
It bothers me. I suppose I should have known better but my DS loves the Thomas stuff.

I have never seen them at my Michael's. I did ask once and she said they stopped after the first recall (a couple years back? can't remember)
