I am trying to decide what would be the best magazine for a birthday present. I want to give her a subscription and buy the one I am getting for tomorrow. I am thinking of the nickelodean magazine, disney magazine, american girl, and I think there is one called discovery girls. She loves disney shows, american idol, but not the jonas brothers, or hannah montana (but she does like the show). She is also 9 going on 19 so I don't want anything to grown up for her. Any ideas?

I used to LOVE "Cricket" magazine when I was her age. It's for readers age 9-14, so it would be just right for her age group.

It's kind-of like a literary magazine, with stories and poems and interesting articles, and it encourages its readers to submit their own writing for publication in the magazine or to win awards.

"Ladybug" is the magazine directed toward the 3-6-year-old age group, and my six-year-old niece really likes that one right now.

"Babybug" is for 0-3-year-olds, and "ASK" is for 6-9-year-olds.

I've purchased the Discovery Girls magazine a couple of times. My daughter
seemed to like it.

At the library today she picked up the Discovery Girls magazine and seemed real interested in it. I asked her what it was about and she said "girl stuff". It didn't seem too old for her though. So, depending on the price and how often it come I am thinking about that and make the Nick magazine. Thanks.
