Gate rec. for stairs w/ iron bannister/railing

We are moving soon to a house w/ stairs and an iron railing. I have no idea about which gates would be best for top/bottom. Any recommendations?

Use cable ties to attach a small piece of wood to the railing on either side. Then you can use any wall-mount gate by screwing it directly into the wood.

They also sell bannister kits that are compatible with most kits. They lash to your bannister with super-duty velcro.

Or, if you or your DH is handy, you can build one for your stairwell out of wood. That's what we did - it actually looks nice!
