DS has strep throat

DS has been sick since Tuesday with a nose full of yellow gunk. He got a fever last night and this morning, so I took him to the ped. He has strep throat. I assume DD will have it as well. I forgot to ask the ped what the incubation period for strep is. Anyone know?

DS is just getting over it. I heard you're contagious 1 day before the fever and either until the fever is gone or 24-48 hrs after starting the antibiotic. FWIW, no one else in our house got it.

DS1 has had strep a few times in the past few years and no one else in the family has gotten it. Your DD might be spared - this time!
