Has anyone seen or used one of these? I think it's a great idea and the babies look so content.

looks like you could just buy a bucket at Target and have the same thing :)

I have a soup pot that works too.

And I'm not completely heartless... the picture of all those babies in the bucket is adorable!!!

Someone was selling a used one on my local parents network the other day. They raved about it and said all 3 of their kids enjoyed using it.

In the article it says its different from a regular bucket bc of the center of gravity and lack of a handle that kids could chew on. Not sure I'd spend $40 on a baby bath tub, but it sure is cute.

I love the darling babies but looking at the picture makes me almost claustrophobic.

the babies are cute but how does one reach the baby's cracks and crevices to get them clean? looks like a tight fit and only a "soaking tub."

Yes I saw that segment too...I think the cutest part of the tub was the bottom part I guess it would be a pedastal. Really cute tub.

I'm not sure my 11 month old would enjoy being stuck in that bucket -

Is it different from this:

I have to say, I'm not a big fan of this. It just freaks me out somehow.

Yea, it's just like the Washpod, I think. I had actually registered for that one, and someone (the BBB?, a book?, I don't remember) talked me out of it for fear baby's head would not stay above the water line.

And the life seems limited - can't do a newborn, and there is NO WAY either of my toddlers is going to be happy/fit in it.

It reminds me of the "bathtub" my hospital's Special Care Nursery used to bathe my DD when she was 3 weeks old and there for a week. I remember marveling that it was such a tiny tub and it was more vertical than horizontal....

I saw these for sale at a midwife/postpartum visiting nurse service in Belgium in 2004, and though I'd seen them several times in the US. I was unconvinced of their benefit. I can see it working for a newborn, who still loves a womb-like environment and doesn't like getting cold a traditional bath. But I agree it doesn't look like there'd by enough washing room, and don't think my 12 month old is going to be soothed by a womb-like environment anymore. And $45 for a tub is more than I would spend.

But kudos to the mom for trying and maybe, if this takes the marketplace by storm, I'll eat my words. I have certainly plunked down serious cash for slings, leather shoes, Snuzzler, cloth diapers and plenty of other things I once considered unnecessary and/or over-priced.

I can't believe people would pay $40 for a baby bathtub! While I appreciate that it is "womb-like" the fact is that baby is no longer in the womb- and as they grow, probably wouldn't like the constraining feature- my DD wouldn't- she loved to kick and splash! I was thinking about all the uses for the "bathtub" after it is outgrown..... as a garbage pail or mop bucket?

Crazy! And that Pod thing looks spooky! Imagine trying to get a slippery baby out of one of these! Scary.
