This week (at least I think it's this week) is museum week in Philly - lots of area museums are offering discounted admission, including the zoo. You can find info at www.gophila.com.

our local libraries have passes to museums and zoos all over new england. worth a call to your local library. good luck.

also how about AAA? if you are a member, they often times have discounts available.

If you have a membership to a local zoo, check to see if the Philadelphia zoo gives you any sort of reciprocal benefit. You can call to find out details. It may in fact end up cheaper to buy a local zoo membership depending on how much of a discount you can get!

ETA - if you are driving there, don't forget to figure in the cost of parking, I think currently $10. If you ask about reciprocal zoo membership benefits, be sure to ask about parking too.
