After reading posts on here about skirts for casual wear, I'm looking for some skirts for me to wear this summer...for chasing kids and just hanging around. I've found a couple, but I wanted to check to see what others thought of them. I'm trying to dress less like an old lady (I've always been an old soul lol), and really need some opinions.

So what do you think?

That 2nd style is available at Old Navy for $15, if you wanted to try it out for cheaper!

I just bought one in that style - weather has been all over the place and I haven't worn it yet.

I like. :) And yes, I just got one like the second one from Old Navy for $15. So comfy yet stylish paired with a tank top or cute tee and flip flops or flat sandals.

Do your Old Navy stores have a bunch in stock? I'll drive to one to try this, but they only have XS and XXL online, so I wonder how the in-store stock is.

No. :( I lucked out and found a M stuck in where it didn't belong but there were only a few on the rack in the odd sizes, like you said. I was thinking of finding another color online. Oh, well.

Hey, wanted to mention that I was in Target today and found the exact same skirt as the Old Navy one: http://www.target.com/Merona-Skirt-Ebony/dp/B001MFQXXK/ref=sc_pgb_r_5_0/188-8553168-6464250?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1

They had black, magenta, gray and navy. Online I could only find sizes XL, but in the store they had all sizes.

Y'know where else has them? Hanes! They have pants & Capris with the foldover style, too.

They are buried under Sweats & Casualwear.

usually you can find some kind of code for them.

I'd stay away from the denim...not cute. The 2nd one is really cute!

The denim one looks dowdy, if you want to get denim, I'd suggest getting one that is more straight line and doesn't flare out, like the stuff we used to wear in high school type of denim skirts. The second one would look cute and comfy. I found some Merona ones at Target on 50% clearance (so cost me $8.xx), they looked like they are supposed to be swimware cover ups according to what they rang up as on the reciept, but I grabbed them up as summer skirts, b/c they are stretchy enough for me to use right now as a maternity skirt, but would also work after I have the baby. I like that it has the fold down elastic waist (or I guess I can wear it up right now as a maternity panel). I'm really excited about wearing them. I started wearing a lot of skirts last summer and find it so much more comfy and flattering looking.

Thank you. I made it to ON and Target today. ON had nothing. Target had a few in medium and I actually thought they looked pretty decent on. I was surprised. I was also surprised that a medium looked better than a large. The large was slightly more comfortable, but was loose enough at the bottom that it made me look bigger.

Now, if I could loose 20 lbs and look just a bit better in the middle :).
