A friend and her DH just bought a condo and I'd love to send something cool for their new home. At first, I thought I'd do something practical like a Home Depot/Lowe's gift card, but they live in an urban area that is at least an hour from one of those stores.

I also was thinking I should do something less corporate/mainstream, as they're the kind of friends who seek out the cool smaller operations. For example, they sent us the cutest toys from Moolka Toys for my DD's birthday, as opposed to BRU (which is my go-to baby store).

Anyone have ideas of cool web retailers who have home stuff?

HOw about a gift card to Wonderful Graffiti?

http://secure.wonderfulgraffiti.com/

We have done it twice in the past for friends who live far away from us and and it has been received very well.

What about a GC to Restoration Hardware or Pottery Barn?

You could also stock their freezer with some steaks from somewhere like Omaha Steaks.
