well I have been EBF my ds. he has just turned 6 months and I got a suprise visit from a friend this morning;). I was hoping I wouldn't get my period again until I started weaning, but oh well. When did you get your's again and was it any different. (in intensity or duration?)

16 mo. But I have friends who started way sooner.
No difference that I've noticed so far.

10 months pp both times. Both boys were breastfed and on solids then.

Before ds1 I had PCOS and was quite irregular. Since ds1 was born I have been like clockwork and nothing else has changed.

Haven't yet. 10.5 months post-partum. I breastfed and supplement with formula. They've started on solids now but still bf and I pump once a day. I'm so glad I haven't gotten my period yet! Just one less thing to deal with. I have twins, I don't know if that effects things or not.

1 mo. after weaning - so 7 mos both times, but only for 1 or 2 cycles before getting knocked up again - maybe not advised to go that quickly...

My period returned at about 13-14 months after each pregnancy. I was still nursing a couple of times a day at this point, but the boys were also drinking regular milk.

I got mine back when DS#1 was around 7 months I think. I remember thinking "oh man... I thought I would get a little longer before having to deal with all this again". He was EBF but also eating solids at this point.

I got mine at 6mo. DS was still only bf'ing- no solids yet. It seemed unfair to get it back so soon.

11 months, breastmilk & solids. Duration & intensity less than before at first. Actually I spotted a couple weeks in advance and was scared it was an implantation bleed! But no, just AF.

I'm TTC a little, maybe :) but am still feeling ambiguous about getting my period back. Was nice to not have it.

I got mine back at 6 months when I went back to work and started pumping more than bf'ing. It was extremely heavy and thick compared to one of my regular periods and ever since then I have been much more regular than I was prior to pregnancy.

ds1 at 6mts. and ds2 at only 4mts and I only nursed. I was so upset I got it back that soon. But I did and hear it's common.

I got mine the day after I nursed DD for the very last time at 16 months. Totally a coincidence, but I always figured I'd get it back at 3-4 months. I started weaning at 16 months an for th last couple of weeks it was before bed only.

i stopped bf at 20 months and flo paid me a visit ~8 weeks later. It was a sad day (except good to know I wasn't pregnant!)

IIRC, it was right around 7-9 mos.

I guess it's good to know I'm not the only one to get a visit WELL before we wean. as thet say "you win some you lose some"

Just got mine the day after DS2 turned 7 months. We're pretty much exclusively BFing still, so I was a bit surprised, but I think that's about when AF turned up with DS1.

17m pp after DD, and haven't gotten it back since DS. Not sure what triggered it, since we nursed well beyond then, but it was irregular (probably because I was still nursing a ton) until we got pregnant a few months later.

6 months with T. That was after 6 months of only partially breastfeeding due to severe supply issues. As soon as I stopped, my period came back.

Too soon to tell with F, but this time I have been able to pretty much exclusively breastfeed so it may be longer.

Wow, I was on the other end of the scale. It didn't come back until 5 months after weaning, 10 months pp. I had actually called my doctor because I was a little worried that it hadn't shown up yet. She didn't see any problem but said, "We can put you on some meds to start it back up if you'd LIKE..." Um, no thanks!

I didn't get my period back for 14 months. But I was breastfeeding a lot, around 8 times a day including 2-3x/night. I'm still breastfeeding her at 20 months but my periods are pretty much back to normal. I did skip one which had me a little nervous--I even bought a test but it was negative!
