I'm not sure if this is the right board, but I'm wondering where to get a bike helmet for my 15-month-old daughter. I know there must be some small ones because babies where them in bike trailers, right? But most of what I see is for ages 3+. DD has a big head, but not that big!

Any suggestions?

TIA!

I got our first one at Toys R Us. I got a second at a bike shop.

I recommend going to a bike shop. The helmet I would have purchased for 17 month old would have been too small. The people in the bike shop were very helpful and fitted the helmet.

I would recommend going to a bike store too - they will be knowledgable about fittings, and have a wider range of products to offer. We have a Specialized Small Fry helmet for DS. He started wearing it at a year and it still fits this year (it's adjustable) He likes it because it has dogs on it :)

We got the Giro Me Too at a bike shop for DD, then when she moved up to the balance bike, she got the Giro Flume, but her head is on the bigger side, so that might be for larger kids.

REI has them too IIRC. Hey, and they are on sale!http://www.rei.com/product/747083 They do come in different sizes, though, so fitting is important.

Specialized Small Fry makes them for 0-3 and 3+
I bought mine at a bike speciality shop, but here is a picture of what I'm talking about...

Both Trek and Bell make little kids helmets too.
