which booster seat?

My son is in a Britax Marathon now but it's time to change to a booster seat. Can you ladies provide me with a recommendation? I noticed the parkway isn't available anymore & the new britax booster is super expensive

You might want to ask this in the car seat forum instead. How old is your son? Is he mature enough for a booster? In my research on-line at various car seat forums (with CPS technicians who post expert advice), they say that many big kids are moved too early to boosters and aren't able to sit properly (no slouching/fidgeting as then the belt moves into soft tissue instead of on the shoulder/hip bones). I had no idea, as so many moms around me are already using boosters. Just thought I'd throw it out there....

That's why I opted for a Regent (2 years old and only $100 on Craigslist) so my DD can be harnessed for as long as possible.
