An embarrassing poop story

So . . .

Today DD and I went to DH's doc appt., we were in the waiting room, DH is stressing out and reminding us not to touch anything. We are in the infectious disease unit. DD starts to smell, I decide to wait to change her until we are in the exam room. The nurse calls us, I get up and step in something, look down, and realize poop fell out of her diaper, down her pant leg and onto the carpet. I don't know what to do, I bolt for the room. Most of it was on my foot.

What a long day.

Oh dear! I might have remained there and made DH go and get my paper towels to clean off my foot (so I wouldn't be dropping pieces of poop up the hallway!). Did you let someone know so they could clean up the poop that did hit the floor? Yikes!
