Urgent: Red Wine all over Brooks Brothers dress shirt!

DH was running an event at work and a bottle of red wine EXPLODED as he tried to open it.

I am used to different kinds of stains but how do I remove 1/4 bottle of red wine from a gorgeous shirt?

Bottle of white wine?? Seriously -- its worked for me.

I don't know if this will work on regular fabric, but my mother recently dumped a full glass of wine on her carpet. She poured almost an entire box of salt over the stain and let it sit overnight. She came back the next morning and vacuumed it up, and almost all the stain was gone. She said she did have to use a cloth and cold water on a few spots but otherwise it worked great.

Mix hydrogen peroxide and dawn dishwashing liquid together (I think even amouts). Cover the stain with it, let sit just a few minutes, run thru laundry. Repeat if needed. I got a red wine stain completely out of my pale yellow shirt doing this.

I have OXYCLEAN - what do I need to do?!

My MIL did this on a table cloth. She sprinkled a PILE of salt on the stain, then held the cloth flat in the stream of HOT water from the tap, so that the stream of water ran through the salt and the cloth. It took it right out. Good luck.
