Banana Republic Shop Card: how do you use?

I just got one today when I bought some clothes. Can anyone explain to me what this is?

Is it a credit card, or is this a loyalty card? I have a BR credit card, but didn't know they had a loyalty card...must be new!

I thought I saw their in-store promo sign today, and isn't it something like "spend some minimum amount and you get a card worth X amount to spend on your next purchase?"

yea i think it's like if you spend $100 you get $30 shop card to use on your next purchase.

but wondering if i need to spend a minimum amount on my next purchase to use my shop card or if i need to take my receipt..etc.

No minimum. That is what they told me.

If it's like the cards they give you as rewards with the credit card, it's just like a gift card. I get a $10 or $20 card every time I spend $100 there, and I can use it on anything, no minimum.
