I'm planning a birthday for DD in July. It's a huge event b/c my culture considers turning 1 a big deal, think almost tantamount to a wedding reception. There will probably be 80 guests, mostly adults and a handful of children.

I want to do favors, but cheap. Under $1. But not cheesy.

I'm considering a garden party theme b/c my daughter's name is the same as that of a flower. But I'm not really tied to a theme. So far all I know is that I'm going to hang pink and orange round lanterns.

I was thinking of doing plantable paper in the shape of a cupcake as a favor, what do you think? If I do this, do I give one per family? or one per guest?

Other favor ideas: a photo magnet or sugar cookies cut out in the shape of the number 1.

I like something that incorporates flowers. I think it would be more useful than something in the shape of a 1 (not sure what I would personally do with that item, kwim?). A little plant or even just seeds in a decorative pouch could work.
