......OCTOMOM!

Yes, folks, that's right! Coming to you LIVE from North Orange County, CA!

DH has bus duty, and he just heard one girl call the another "Octomom!" as a nasty name taunt. I'm not sure if that has any real implications other than the sensationalizing we have already seen, but we both were pretty surprised.

Anything can be nasty if said in the right tone, but that is funny!

I think it is sad.

Because she is so selfish her children will end up having to pay a great price.

:yeahthat: ITA. I feel so bad for those children who will suffer in so many ways.

I agree. The case of Octomom or someone who makes similar choices is sad for the sake of her kids, but the use of it in playground name does carry some humor IMO.

Hopefully she will be a one day wonder and by the time the kids are a little bit older, no one will remember the notoriety any more and the word 'octomom' will prompt nothing more than a 'huh'

Honestly I feel bad for *any* kid whose parents voluntarily appear is Us Weekly.

I actually think "Octomom" is a brilliant playground insult - it's so completely & utterly illogical that there is no defense against it. Thanks for making me laugh OP.
