i'm sure someone can tell me...

do they carry those upholstered kid chairs in the pottery barn store or just online? i just can't bear to pay the shipping considering how much the chair is on its own....

plus, how long will my daughter be able to (or be interested in) using it?

They carry them in the stores, but there are certain fabrics/colors that are online/catalog exclusives. You can often buy the inserts on eBay for less than they sell them at PBK (even with shipping), and then just buy the chair cover at PBK.

Yes, I bought one the same day as my niece's b-day party last year and gave it to her that day. She was 1 and she still uses it all the time now that she is just about 2.

I second the buying of inserts on ebay--much better price, even with shipping! My 5 year old still fits just fine in hi (44 inches tall). Depending on how "lounge-y" your child likes to be, I think it could have a very long life. Ours will!

My 5yo, who is tall for her age, still sits in ours sometimes. Definitely a long-lasting gift.
