I can't find any info on Carriers in the Parent Product Reviews section. Anyone know where I can find a good list of reviews? Consumer Reports didn't have a list either.

The Baby Wearer website has a reviews section!
The website is http://www.thebabywearer.com/

What kind of carrier are you looking for?

Thanks for the link, I'm officially overwhelmed. I'm looking for a carrier so I can take my son hiking with me...sooner or later. He's 7mo. old / 20 lbs, can sit up, and should be crawling any minute now.

The http://www.thebabywearer.com/ website had zero reviews for Frame Backpacks.

This is the sort of stuff I've been looking at, http://www.rei.com/category/4500066

I have zero experience with the frame carriers so I'm not any help...I have a friend that has a kelty and she likes it but I'm not sure which one it is.

Have you checked craigslist? I see frame carriers all the time on ours...maybe you can find a good one cheap to start out with.

I think i saw a parent on TBW mention how they loved their kelty for hiking. they had a picture of them using it and going hiking in the rain. (parents were wet but baby was well protected under the hood).

There aren't reviews of framed carriers on TBW, because they aren't loved. They are huge. And bulky. And heavy. They take up most of the trunk. I tried to wear one, but it pulled me backwards (and I can carry my DS just fine on my back in a SSC, it's just that the center of gravity was pulling away from me because he was up higher and farther away from me). I would get a more mulit-purpose carrier, rather than a single use carrier.

Here is a great thread on SSC carriers http://www.thebabywearer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125580
