A friend of mine mentioned that she had a sewage backup at her house. When the plumber came out, he snaked down about 80 feet and came to a blockage. He started talking to her husband about it possibly being tree roots blocking the pipes and needing to dig up the front year for several thousand dollars. Then he saw my friend getting their 4 year old ready for daycare and asked if they used "flushable" toddler wipes.
Turns out these aren't so flushable after all. The plumber pulled up wads of them with a special snake. Cost them $600, but at least it was a lot less than digging up the front yard and having to re-landscape it!
