I just bought some pillsbury breadsticks, looking for a way to "dress them up"- beyond garlic and parmesan, which is the only way I've ever done them.
Thanks!!!!

I normally do this with frozen dinner rolls but it would probably work with breadsticks as well.
The recipe is something like this off the top of my head:
1 package dry ranch salad dressing mix
1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
1/4-1/2 c. real bacon bits
Mix dry ingredients together.
Add little bit of oil(maybe 2 Tbsp) to make things sticky but not greasy.
Cut semi-frozen dinner rolls into halves or thirds. Roll into little balls. Then roll the balls in the above mixture. Place in a single layer on a baking stone. Dump the tailend of the mixture over the top. Bake in oven until done.
This gets rave reviews when I bring it to a putluck. It makes a nice side for a ham or main meat entree.
Sorry I can't find the exact recipe. I think it came from a 5 items or less recipe from Quick Cooking or Taste of Home a couple of years ago.
