Crib Mattresses

What do people like these days? I have a Colgate (original, maybe Classica I) for DS1 and am looking for a new one for the baby. I was thinking I wanted to go organic but the Colgate organic one is close to $400. Is there an organic alternative that people like? TIA.

Unfortunately I don't have a review for you (our baby's not born yet) but I heard about the L.A. Baby line of mattresses that is available on Costco's web site. They have two organic versions - one is completely organic cotton and coconut fibers and isn't made with any toxic chemicals. That one retails for $199 and their basic organic one retails for $129. Both seem like great deals. After doing quite a bit of research, I think I'm going for the $199 one... I'm hoping I can find a review of it on here somewhere though...

Like you, I wanted organic/natural but didn't want to spend $400 on a mattress that wouldn't be used for more than a couple of years. HTH!
